How to verify your Samsung Galaxy's device and software details for Samsung Care+
Registering or checking your Samsung Care+ coverage usually comes down to one thing: having the right device details on hand. Your IMEI, serial number, model name and software information are all stored directly on your phone — and finding them takes less than a minute once you know where to look.
Here is the simple four-step process.
Step 1: Open your device settings
Unlock your phone and swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification panel, then tap the gear icon. Alternatively, locate the Settings app in your app drawer and open it directly.
Step 2: Navigate to "About phone"
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the Settings menu. Tap on About phone — it is usually located just above the system updates section.
Step 3: Note your device and serial details
Inside the About phone menu, you will find a summary of your device's primary identification details. These are the details you will need for Samsung Care+ verification:
Product Name — for example, Galaxy S23 FE Model Name — for example, SM-S711B/DS Serial Number — a unique alphanumeric code identifying your specific hardware IMEI Number — your cellular identifier number
Make a note of all four before moving on, as Samsung Care+ registration and verification typically require this information.
Step 4: Access "Software information"
From the About phone screen, scroll down slightly and tap on Software information.
On this page, you can verify your built-in security details — including your SE for Android status and your Knox version. Depending on your region and software version, your active Samsung Care+ status or plan expiration date may also appear here, or under the main About phone section.
What this is for
Having these details on hand makes the Samsung Care+ registration and verification process significantly faster — whether you are registering a new device, checking the status of existing coverage, or confirming eligibility for repair or replacement support. The Knox version displayed in Software information also confirms that your device's built-in security platform — which protects sensitive data including financial information — is active and up to date.
