Ngong Racecourse became the place to be on Saturday 4 July, as thousands of Nairobi revellers turned out for another edition of Millennials Cookout, the annual celebration of 90s and early 2000s culture that has quietly grown into one of Kenya's most anticipated lifestyle events.

This year's theme was Rodeo Chic, and the crowd delivered fully. From the moment gates opened, guests arrived in cowboy hats, fringe jackets, worn-in boots and denim fits that turned the racecourse into an open-air fashion showcase. Co-founder Dickson Matata described the event as something that was always meant to go beyond a party.
